Minister Cheryl serves as one of the clergy at REBIRTH. She is a vibrant congregant, powerful preacher, dedicated mom and very connected to the kingdom!

TIMR:
How did you hear about to REBIRTH?
Min. Cheryl:
A friend of mine from a church that I attended for some 25 years, left and became a member of REBIRTH. She told me about it. I was basically coming to make sure that she was involved in a sound ministry. But one I got here, I found out it was a good place and ended up becoming a member myself.

TIMR:
So you are a minister. How long have you been in the ministry?
Min. Cheryl:
I have been in the ministry since 1995.

TIMR:
What do you experience when you attend REBIRTH?
Min Cheryl:
REBIRTH to me, as long as I have been in ministry and been in church, I’ve never felt like I reached my full potential. I’ve never felt like I was really free in ministry and in worship. Free to be who God created me to be. And when I came to REBIRTH, it was a “safe” place for me to be who God has called me to be.

TIMIR:
We know that your daughter is here and part of the staff. What is her experience in REBIRTH? We know our children will tell us the truth!
Min. Cheryl:
I have known from a young age that she is a prophetess. She ministered to me as a toddler, three to four years of age. I knew she had this gift. I had never seen her use this gift in church. As a matter of fact, she was like a little church mouse before. When she came to REBIRTH, it was the very first time I was able to see her minister and use all of her gifts. It was phenomenal to see her in action as a mother. That’s what you want when you have trained them up. You want to see the fruit of that training and REBIRTH was good ground. It was and is the place where her gift grows. She is free!

TIMR:
How do like Pastor Darren and Lady Sonya? How are they as leaders and pastors to you?
Min. Cheryl:
The thing that let me know that REBIRTH was home for me was First Lady’s hug! When she hugged me for the very first time, not knowing me at all, I felt the love of God in that hug. I felt the truth and honesty from a person who is truly surrendered to God. Then when I met Pastor, I got that same vibe. There are very few pastors who have a love for God’s people and he truly loves the people of God. He cares about every individual and their growth and its evident in all of his preaching and teaching and the way he handles the members in general.

TIMR:
REBIRTH pushes people into a philosophy that they call “the opinion of God.” How do you see this teaching reflected in your life and in the lives of the people.
Min. Cheryl:
It basically takes us back to the beginning when we first were born again. Back when we wanted to do any and everything that God desired. Living in the opinion of God is that passion, plus, believing that we are actually who God says we are. I see that in every member. Not only am I free to use my gift, everyone is challenged (in a positive way) and pushed (in a loving way) beyond where they are to where God desires them to be. Every person who comes in, you can literally watch them grow!

TIMR:
Because life in God still has peaks and valleys, we understand how REBIRTH helps you on your mountaintop, but how does REBIRTH help you in your valleys.
Min. Cheryl:
Yes! First of all, when you’re in that low place, you want somebody to know you’re there. Ever since I have been there, I feel that lifeline from Pastor and First Lady. They will not let you stay in that place. They note it. Because they have that love for God’s people. And they’re pouring that love and responsibility upon all the members of the congregation creating that true sense of family. If we see someone missing or not looking well, we desire to know how we can assist.

TIMR:
What do you see for REBIRTH’s future, and where do you see yourself in that picture?
Min. Cheryl:
REBIRTH is definitely a worldwide ministry. When I see REBIRTH I do see a church-house, but I also see a church without walls. I see REBIRTH in the world and I see myself in my purpose to its full capacity as a part of it.

TIMR:
I understand that Pastor Thomas believes that REBIRTH exists in Columbus for new souls yes, but more for people who find themselves in the valley of dry bones. They are in the valley as a dry bone but very much an exceeding army in the spirit. If you were going to speak to other bones in Columbus who need to be prophesied to so that they can arise and be great, what would you say to them as we close? What you say to those who are searching for that something different that they desire from God and you have found in REBIRTH?
Min. Cheryl:
I know that place of “I’ve been in church a long time.” Or, “I’m tired of man dictating the church more than God.” Sometimes a pastor will sit on the eggs and not allow them to hatch, causing them to be weak and sick. I know that place. I am a LIVING testimony. I was completely zapped out from church. Didn’t want to minister again. And REBIRTH spoke life into me and my dry bones are now living. And living with muscle and skin and strength and power. REBIRTH is that place where God resurrects and makes things brand new!

REBIRTH invites you to worship with us anytime on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and again on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. And as we always say, “Say Good Morning, to the rest of your LIFE!”
